Background
Jared Decoteau co-founded Fortress Family Law in 2026 after several years in law firm leadership, serving as managing attorney and director of client development. He has been selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list every year from 2022 through 2025, a peer-reviewed honor extended to a small fraction of Colorado attorneys.
Jared earned his law degree from American University Washington College of Law in 2013 and his undergraduate degree from Florida State University. He was admitted to the Colorado bar in 2015 and to the United States District Court for the District of Colorado in 2018. His practice is devoted entirely to family law: dissolution of marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities, and support.
He is a member of the family law sections of the Colorado and Denver bar associations.
