Background
Veronica Martinez co-founded Fortress Family Law in 2026. She has practiced family law exclusively since her admission to the Colorado bar in 2011, and her client reviews average a perfect five stars on Avvo, where she holds a 10.0 Superb rating and a Client’s Choice Award.
Her practice spans the full arc of domestic relations: dissolution of marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, spousal maintenance, property division, post-decree modifications, and protection orders. She also helps clients protect their financial futures with prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She has previously managed numerous attorneys as a director of litigation, and continues the spirit of that position at Fortress Family Law, taking a hands-on supervisory and advisory role with the firm’s attorney team.
Veronica earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2011 and her Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from Colorado College in 2007. During law school she interned with the Denver Public Defender’s Office and the Judge Advocate General’s office at Buckley Air Force Base, experience that sharpened the legal instincts she brings to every case. She has been an active member of the Douglas Regional Mock Trial Tournament planning committee for nearly 10 years and previously served on the Douglas Elbert Bar Association board for 4 years, including as both Vice-President and President. She has also served on the Colorado Bar Association Legislative Policy Committee.
